At Manage My Nest™, protecting your privacy and personal data isn't just a policy—it's part of our core philosophy. We believe you deserve transparency, control, and peace of mind when it comes to how your information is handled.

1. How does Manage My Nest protect your data?

We take data security seriously and apply a "privacy by design" approach across our platform. Here’s how we protect your data every step of the way:

  • Encryption Everywhere: We use the highest level of SSL encryption (TLS 1.3 and 1.2) on every page—not just on login or payment screens.

  • Pseudonymization: Even if data were ever exposed, we use techniques like pseudonymization to make it extremely difficult to link that data back to a person or unit.

  • Certified Security Standards: We are PCI/DSS certified by Sysnet® Global Solutions and certified under the Data Privacy Framework (DPF).

  • DPF Certification: Manage My Nest complies with the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (EU-U.S. DPF), the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF, and the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (Swiss-U.S. DPF), ensuring secure and lawful transfer of personal data from the EU, UK, and Switzerland to the U.S.

We do not store sensitive payment data ourselves. Your community’s chosen payment processor handles that separately.

2. Where is your data stored?

We don’t run our systems from a back room or local server. Instead, we use Tier 1 cloud providers to ensure:

  • Redundant, secure storage

  • Automatic and encrypted backups

  • Disaster recovery capabilities

  • Physical access restrictions (even the data center employees require biometric scans)

All data storage is managed through Microsoft Azure’s highly secure and compliant infrastructure.

3. What kind of personal information is stored?

The data we store is intentionally limited. In most cases, it includes basic contact information such as:

  • Name

  • Address

  • Email

  • Phone number

We do not collect or store:

  • Social Security numbers

  • Driver’s license numbers

  • Bank account details

  • Credit card numbers

4. What if a breach happens?

Our security measures are designed to prevent unauthorized access. But in the unlikely event of a breach, the risk is low because we don’t store highly sensitive information, and what we do store is protected using encryption and pseudonymization.

We also monitor access logs, use firewalls and anti-malware protection, and follow strict internal procedures to handle data responsibly.

5. Is my data shared with anyone?

We do not sell your data. We only share data in these specific cases:

  • Service Providers: Hosting companies, email/text notification services, and payment processors—strictly for delivering platform features.

  • Analytics: Non-identifiable website usage data (e.g., browser type, IP, timestamps) may be shared with Google to help us improve our platform.

  • Business Transactions: If our business is ever sold or merged, the same privacy commitments follow your data.

  • Legal Requirements: We may share data if required by law or if needed to protect safety, property, or rights.

6. Who owns the data?

Short answer: You do.

All the information you or your community upload—whether it's contact info, visitor records, documents, or anything else—still belongs to you or your community. Manage My Nest simply provides the tools and technology to help you manage it.

We don’t claim ownership of your data, and we won’t use it for anything other than delivering the features and services you expect from the platform (see our Privacy Policy for more information on what data we use, and how).

If you need help updating or removing your data and aren’t able to make the change yourself, your first step should be reaching out to your community manager or board. If they run into any issues, they’re welcome to contact us directly. For privacy and security reasons, we’re only able to assist community administrators, board members, or others with similar authority.
